What happens when you don't eat enough?

There may be few reasons why you might not be eating enough. Maybe you work off the chain and literally forget to eat sometimes. 
Although the specific time may vary from person to person,"Eating regularly throughout the day keeps your metabolism running at full speed, prevents dips in your energy and keeps you alert and focused". If you don't eat often enough in a day, It’s not like your systems will immediately go haywire. But your body will react to fuel shortage in different ways. The things that happen to your body when you don't eat enough are really bad.

This Happens To Your Body When You Skip Meals

Eating enough is essential for your mental and physical health. You can have the  risk of disease or organ failure, but even simpler  like being cranky or not sleeping.

You Are Tired All Day

A calorie does not mean fat. Scientifically it is simply a unit of heat
It's because when you eat something, it is broken down into calories by your body, which is then utilized to sustain all the functions of your body.
And the number of calories you should eat every day depends on your body physique. After all, a larger person will need a lot more energy than a child to work.
So, when you don't eat enough calories, your body fails to meet required energy, which results in fatigue and you are tired all the day.

You Are Losing A Lot of Hair

The reason why increased hair fall is a sign of eating disorder is because the roots of your hair require a lot of nutrients to remain fixed. These include proteins, iron, and biotin.
So, when you do not eat enough, your body cuts off nourishment to the less important parts of your body, like your hair and skin, to the upkeeping of your vital organs.

You Are Constipated

There are a lot of reasons on why constipation happens.
Skipping out on fruits and vegetables, or food with fiber or carbs, will do a number on your digestive system. Your body will go either one of two ways: 
constipation or diarrhea.
So, if this above-mentioned symptoms are observed in your body, then you definitely do not eat enough calories.
Your anxiety levels go way up

Studies have shown that those who don't eat enough food are more anxious and often depressed. Eating is all about making  your body’s blood sugar levels are at  the right point.
This happens because starvation releases cortisol in your body, that can increase your stress level and leaves you moody, cranky, and anxious all day long.

Frequent Headaches

When you do not eat enough, your body goes into a state of low blood sugar. And because of a state of low blood sugar severe headaches and migraines are the symptoms of this problem.
